Celeste founded Building Blocks Occupational Therapy in 2002 as a small home business. She continues as Principal Clinician and Director. With over twenty years of experience in Paediatric assessment and treatment, she has gathered extensive skills and knowledge across a wide range of conditions.

Since graduating, she has worked for the Department of Community Services in the Charlestown and Newcastle offices, travelled abroad and worked extensively in London and Scotland for five years before returning to Australia in 1999. Since then she has worked for the Brain Injury Unit at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre of Sydney in Ryde and Chatswood School Therapy Service. Celeste moved into Private Practice in March 2001 working as a contractor for Children’s Occupational Therapy in Castle Hill.

During her employment Celeste has treated a wide range of conditions and syndromes, including Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Perceptual Motor Difficulties, Learning Difficulties, Head Injuries, Sensory Integrative Dysfunction and Handwriting Difficulties… as well as many more unusual syndromes and conditions including Retts Syndrome, Neurofibromatosis and Upper Limb Deficiencies to name a few!

Celeste’s special areas of interest and expertise include Developmental Coordination Difficulties and Sensory Integrative Dysfunction. She is in training to become a certified Basic DIR Floortime © Practitioner and has recently completed SOS Feeding Protocol and Advanced Social Thinking training.

Building Blocks OT, under Celeste’s leadership, has been the recipient of the Business Achiever Awards, taking out the top prize in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Building Blocks OT also won Business of the Year in 2010.

When not working as an Occupational Therapist, Celeste is mother to Alexandra, Emily and Angus. She also enjoys cooking scrumptious food and the odd outdoor activity when time permits!

Celeste prides herself on achieving excellence in her practice as an Occupational Therapist. She is known for her excellent rapport with children and friendly approach to parents and teachers.
